Civilizations around the world have witnessed the emergence of various social movements throughout history.  In the late 1960s, young “Black” people in inner-cities throughout America began to boldly affirm, “Black Power” and “Power to the People,” as slogans that represented their demands for freedom, justice, and equality. The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense invoked their power by pairing their voices with community advocacy.  The advent of Free Breakfast Programs for children and Community Health clinics were inventions of the Black Panther Party. The Black Panther Party was an extension of The Black Power Movement, which is why the phrase “Power to the People” became synonymous with both The Black  Power Movement and the Black Panthers during the late 1960s and beyond. 

When actor, screenwriter, and legendary musical artist Tupac Amaru Shakur was heard in interviews and on music talking about bringing forth “Changes,” that viewpoint came from his background as a child of The Black Power Movement and The Black Panther Party.  His mother, Afeni Shakur was an important figure in the Black Power Movement and made sure her son (Tupac) knew what it meant to be a bearer of knowledge and a man of action.

We have decided to create immediate changes in communities far and wide by declaring, “Empowerment for the People.” We shall help others maximize their full potential by emphasizing the pursuit of health and wellness.

The Gig Economy represents a failure of the U.S. economic system. China is nowthe world’s manufacturing leader. Many American companies constantly roll back employee hiring. Major companies  no longer offer the same pensions, negotiate to limit union protections, and provide less stability to American workers, as jobs are sent overseas in search of foreign workers who will accept lower employee wages.

Empowerment For The People invests ìs focused on helping others because we have the knowledge base to improve lives by showing people how to build businesesses. Americsn companies are not going to suddenly bring manufacturing jobs back to America. Rising prices and the cost of living is getting worse and we can play a small part in making a difference.
